The first three winner teams from amateur category: Vifor (1stplace), Getica (2nd place), Lumea pierdută (3rd place)
The first three winner teams from advanced category: Grind (1stplace), Hoinarii (2nd place), Cetatea Braşovului I. (3rd place)
From the 47 teams 12 advance and 25 amateur teams managed to finish the race.

Carpathian Adventure 2009 (9th edition)

Carpathian Adventure is a classic, 3-day adventure race meant to bring people together to be challenged in numerous outdoor disciplines and enjoy the natural beauty and wilderness of Romania.
Teams consisted of 4 people apply to the competition (from the point of view of their gender, the team has to be mixed compulsory). The competition takes place in two categories: beginners and professionals.
The adventure race consists of a route of about 150-200 km, the sections of the race being consisted of
- trekking (60-70 km)
- mountain bike (120-130 km)
- rafting ( 3-5 km)
- abseiling, speology and other alpine tasks
The race is a continuous, uninterrupted event with a time limit. Teams must cross the finish line of every section as a group, beyond the time limit given, in order not to be disqualified.
On the route there are points of control and a base camp, where teams can be supplied with equipment necessary for the next section. In addition to the necessary equipment (selected by organizers for safety) participants choose their equipment, the quantity of food they need and others.
Based on the rules of participation competitors must comply with rules imposed by ecological tourism organizers (without camp fire, camping is permitted only in predetermined places, the waste of each team made during the competition should be discharged, existing paths must be followed as much as possible, etc. .).
The safety of participants is primary for organizers. Experts specialised in different fields of sports oversee the safety at the tasks of the contest.
Local mountain rescue teams are partners of the competition to provide assistance if needed.
This adventure race takes place in Romania, every year in a different location.
